You will learn about the products we use, the services we provide, and the proper application methods needed to care for healthy lawns and landscapes. Training will also focus on professional customer communication, evaluating lawn and landscape conditions, identifying potential problems, and providing effective solutions. This position requires the ability to manage a daily route efficiently, meet established production goals, and maintain quality and attention to detail throughout the workday . A valid Texas driver's license and a clean driving record are required for this position. Requirements Key Responsibilities Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other lawn and landscape products according to product label instructions, company schedules, and established safety procedures . Safely operate company vehicles while traveling to and servicing customer properties. Complete all required daily paperwork and service documentation accurately and on time , while meeting established daily production goals. Maintain assigned vehicles, trailers, spray equipment, and other tools by keeping them clean and organized, performing routine safety checks and inspections, and reporting maintenance or repair needs promptly. Respond to customer questions, concerns, and service requests in a professional and timely manner . Evaluate and diagnose lawn and landscape conditions, identify potential problems, and communicate appropriate solutions to customers. Assist with new sales opportunities by accurately evaluating properties, determining recommended lawn and landscape services, and providing accurate information needed for service pricing. Work independently and efficiently while managing an assigned daily service route. Maintain a high level of quality, attention to detail, professionalism, and customer service throughout the daily route Qualifications & Requirements Successful candidates should possess: A valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record for the past 5 years. Must be at least 24 years of age due to commercial insurance restrictions Dependability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic. Strong time-management and organizational skills with the ability to complete daily routes and meet established production goals. Good verbal and written communication skills. The ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions. Basic mathematical skills are necessary to calculate measurements, application rates, formulas, estimates, and information required for proper product label interpretation. Strong attention to detail and the ability to recognize changes or potential problems in lawns and landscapes. The ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team. Time management and organizational skills, including punctuality for on-time attendance A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous related experience or training in lawn care, horticulture, agronomy, landscaping, or agriculture is preferred. Applicants with college coursework or a degree in a related field are also encouraged to apply. Licensing & Training A-Perm-O-Green Lawn provides company-paid training to prepare team members for the licensing requirements associated with this position. Following completion of the initial training program, team members are required to pass the appropriate examinations and fulfill all regulatory requirements established by the Texas Department of Agriculture - Structural Pest Control Service (TDA/SPCS) to obtain the licensing and/or certification required for their position in the Lawn & Ornamental and Weed Control categories . Continued employment in this position requires maintaining all licenses, certifications, and training required by the company and applicable regulations. Physical & Outdoor Work Requirements This is an active, physically demanding outdoor position. Team members must have the strength, stamina, and manual dexterity necessary to perform the essential duties of the job throughout the workday safely. Team members must be able to: Lift up to and carry a minimum of 50 pounds independently Stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and lift for extended periods. Walk and work safely on lawns, slopes, and uneven terrain. Push and pull spray hoses and other lawn-care equipment. Safely operate and maneuver core aeration equipment and other machinery used in daily service. Repeatedly enter and exit company vehicles throughout the workday. Perform physically demanding work outdoors for extended periods. Our technicians work outdoors year-round in the Texas climate , including periods of extreme heat, humidity, cold, rain, and other changing weather. Subject to exposure to animals and insects. Moderate to loud noise level with while equipment is in use. For safety and protection while performing field applications, all field production team members are required to wear the complete company uniform and designated personal protective equipment, including long-sleeved shirts, long pants, hats, gloves, and rubber boots , as required for the work being performed. The ability to safely and consistently meet the physically demanding and outdoor working requirements is essential to success in this position. Benefits Team members receive competitive hourly compensation , with starting pay ranging from $17-$19 per hour , based on experience and qualifications.
