This hands-on position provides practical training in lawn fertilization, weed control, insect and disease management, and turf diagnostics. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, you will learn how to evaluate turf health, apply treatments safely and accurately, and contribute to sustainable lawn care programs. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy outdoor work, are detail-oriented, and are interested in plant health, agronomy, or turfgrass management. Duties Assist with the application of fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides in accordance with label directions and safety standards. Support turfgrass health assessments by identifying weeds, insects, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies. Learn proper calibration, operation, and maintenance of lawn care equipment including spreaders and spray systems. Help implement integrated pest management (IPM) practices to promote long-term turf health and environmental responsibility. Assist in monitoring lawn response to treatments and documenting results for ongoing care programs. Follow safety protocols for chemical handling, mixing, storage, and personal protective equipment (PPE.) Communicate professionally with team members and supervisors regarding job progress and site conditions. Requirements Strong interest in lawn healthcare, turfgrass management, horticulture, or agronomy. Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to follow detailed instructions and comply with safety and application guidelines. Basic familiarity with hand tools or lawn care equipment is helpful but not required. Attention to detail and a commitment to accurate application and environmental stewardship. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Prior experience in lawn care or landscaping is beneficial but not required; on-the-job training will be provided. Fluent in Spanish is beneficial but not required. High school diploma plus a minimum of two years experience working with lawn and landscape is preferable.
