Responsibilities Operate groundskeeping and landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, power tools, and irrigation systems with precision and safety in mind. Perform lawn care tasks including mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, and overseeding to promote lush, healthy turf. Maintain landscape features by pruning trees and shrubs Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot any issues to optimize water efficiency. Identify various plants, pests, and diseases to provide effective plant care or pest management solutions. Follow safety protocols diligently during all outdoor activities to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Assist with snow plowing or other seasonal grounds maintenance tasks as needed to keep properties safe and accessible year-round. Qualifications Previous outdoor work experience or groundskeeping background is highly preferred. Mechanical knowledge of landscaping tools, power equipment, and irrigation systems is essential. Strong understanding of landscape maintenance practices including mowing, pruning, planting, and hardscape installation. Ability to identify plants, pests, and common landscape issues confidently. Familiarity with pesticide management procedures and safety standards related to horticulture. Excellent hand tool skills combined with the ability to operate grounds maintenance equipment safely. Knowledge of safety protocols necessary for outdoor work environments. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions while maintaining high standards of quality.
