Lawn Care TechnicianEntry-Level & Experienced Technicians Welcome About Us At Keyman Lawn, Tree & Pest , we help homeowners and businesses throughout Dane County achieve healthy, beautiful lawns and landscapes they can be proud of. We specialize in lawn fertilization and weed control, tree & shrub care, pest prevention, and other specialty lawn services. As our company continues to grow, we're looking for both experienced lawn care professionals and motivated individuals looking to start a career in the industry . Already have lawn care experience or a Wisconsin Pesticide Applicator License? We especially want to hear from you. Experienced technicians may be considered for increased responsibilities, advancement opportunities, and compensation based on experience and qualifications. Position Overview As a Lawn Care Technician , you'll be responsible for performing lawn care and/or pest control services for residential and commercial customers throughout our service area. You'll operate company-provided vehicles and equipment, apply fertilizers and treatments, identify turf and landscape concerns, maintain accurate service records, and communicate with customers about their properties. Our technicians are the face of Keyman Lawn, Tree & Pest in the field. We're looking for people who take pride in their work, treat customers professionally, and want to be part of a growing team. Responsibilities Safely operate company trucks, spray rigs, spreaders, and other lawn care equipment Apply fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides, and other products according to label directions and safety requirements Perform preventative and corrective lawn and pest control treatments Identify common turf, weed, insect, and landscape issues Communicate professionally with customers about completed services and property concerns Provide appropriate recommendations for additional lawn, tree, shrub, or pest services Maintain accurate service records and route information Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure it remains in proper working condition Follow all company, state, and federal safety requirements and application regulations Work independently while maintaining Keyman's quality and customer-service standards Required Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to work outdoors in changing Wisconsin weather conditions Strong attention to detail and safety Dependable and able to work independently Good communication and customer service skills Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and perform physical work for extended periods Willingness to learn and follow company procedures Experienced Technicians - We Want to Hear From You We're especially interested in candidates who already have experience in the lawn care, landscaping, turf management, or pest control industries. Experience with any of the following is a plus: Lawn fertilization and weed control Ride-on or robotic application equipment Commercial lawn applications Tree & shrub treatments Pest control applications Turf diagnosis and troubleshooting Route-based lawn care operations Customer communication and recommendations Equipment maintenance Leading or training other technicians Candidates with significant industry experience may be considered for advanced technician or future leadership opportunities . Preferred Qualifications Previous lawn care and/or pest control experience Wisconsin Pesticide Applicator License Experience operating professional lawn application equipment Knowledge of Wisconsin turf, weeds, insects, and common lawn issues Basic mechanical skills for equipment maintenance Don't have your pesticide license yet? We provide training and licensing support. Technicians will be expected to obtain the required Wisconsin licensing within the company's required timeframe.
