Full Job Description Location:
Edgewater, CO (with potential work in Capitol Hill and University Hills)
Hours:
Approximately 38 hours per month
Pay:
$630/month base + 25% of one-time installation jobs
Alternative:
$800/month base + 25% of one-time installation jobs for a larger client territory About the Role We're looking for a reliable, knowledgeable, and personable Landscape Maintenance & Installation Specialist to take over the care and maintenance of our existing residential clients. This is a part-time position focused primarily on servicing existing clients, maintaining gardens, completing installations, and providing knowledgeable on-site recommendations. This is not primarily a sales position, although you should be comfortable discussing potential improvements or one-time projects with clients when appropriate. The ideal person is someone who enjoys working directly with plants and people, can independently assess a garden and make recommendations on the spot, and takes pride in keeping clients' landscapes healthy and looking their best. Responsibilities Maintain existing residential gardens and landscapes Perform light garden maintenance, including: Weeding Watering Plant care Basic pruning and cleanup Monitoring overall plant health Complete plant installations and garden improvement projects Create simple garden/plant designs and make recommendations on-site Select appropriate plants for different locations and growing conditions Coordinate with local nurseries and source plants and materials Communicate directly with clients about their gardens and projects Identify plants and weeds accurately Diagnose common plant health issues and recommend appropriate solutions Work with clients to develop and maintain vegetable gardens Work respectfully and effectively with clients from a variety of backgrounds and income levels Provide clear updates about completed work and any issues that need attention Maintain reliable communication and show up on time for scheduled appointments
What We're Looking For Required:
Experience with residential gardening, landscaping, horticulture, or a related field Strong knowledge of plants and basic plant health Ability to identify common plants and weeds Ability to make practical garden/plant design decisions on-site Experience sourcing plants from nurseries Comfortable communicating directly with clients Reliable transportation Strong communication skills Dependable and punctual Comfortable working independently Comfortable performing light physical garden maintenance Willingness to work with vegetable gardens and edible plants A great candidate will also: Have a good eye for garden design and plant combinations Be able to troubleshoot plant problems without needing constant direction Be friendly, professional, and comfortable working in clients' homes and gardens Treat clients respectfully regardless of their budget or income level Take initiative and notice things that need to be addressed Be interested in building ongoing relationships with existing clients Compensation This is a part-time side-gig opportunity averaging approximately 38 hours per month. Option 1 — Edgewater / Capitol Hill $630 monthly base pay 25% of one-time installation jobs Primarily servicing existing clients in Edgewater, with potential clients in Capitol Hill Option 2 — Expanded Client Area $800 monthly base pay 25% of one-time installation jobs Includes existing clients in Edgewater, Capitol Hill, and University Hills The final territory and compensation structure can be discussed based on experience and availability. Schedule Approximately 38 hours per month, with scheduling coordinated around existing client needs.
