Do you love houseplants and enjoy helping people find the perfect plant for their home? We're looking for a knowledgeable, energetic, and dependable salesperson to join our team! This position combines plant care, merchandising, customer service, and sales. The ideal candidate has a genuine passion for houseplants, understands their basic cultural needs, and enjoys creating a beautiful, inviting department that customers want to shop. What You'll Do

• Care for and maintain our houseplant inventory, including watering, fertilizing, pruning, grooming, pest monitoring, and general plant health
• Identify common houseplant pests, diseases, and cultural problems and take appropriate action
• Maintain clean, healthy, and attractive plant displays
• Merchandise and rotate houseplants to maximize sales and presentation
• Help select and maintain an interesting assortment of houseplants, pots, and related products
• Assist customers in choosing plants based on their light conditions, lifestyle, experience level, and space
• Provide knowledgeable advice on plant care and troubleshooting
• Monitor inventory and communicate ordering needs
• Receive, inspect, price, and properly display incoming houseplant shipments
• Keep the department organized, clean, stocked, and visually appealing
• Assist with seasonal displays and special promotions
• Work closely with the garden center team to meet department sales and profitability goals What We're Looking For
• Strong knowledge and enthusiasm for houseplants
• Previous garden center, greenhouse, nursery, florist, or retail plant experience preferred
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to recognize common plant health issues
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a beautiful department
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Comfortable working on your feet and performing physical tasks such as watering, lifting, moving plants, and merchandising
• Reliable, organized, and willing to learn
