Required Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree and relevant program experience. Must possess a valid SC driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
A master's degree. Two (2) years of experience in horticulture or a related field, and at least one (1) year of supervisory experience. Duties include, but are not limited to: Assists with directing, coordinating, and participating in the daily operations, grounds maintenance, and programming of the CCU Arboretum. Develops and supports educational, research, outreach, and engagement opportunities that advance the mission of the CCU Arboretum, including related marketing, training, and communications materials. Maintains the campus tree inventory and coordinates tree planting, care, removal, collections management, and reporting activities in support of CCU's designation as an arboretum. Hires, trains, and supervises direct reports and student staff. Represents CCU as a leader in the community regarding arboriculture, horticulture, environmental stewardship, and the benefits of trees and green spaces. Time Limited position with benefits. Salary:
$45,000.00 (Minimum)
  • $60,000.
00 (Maximum). Normal work hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the University.
Travel:
occasional remote work and occasional travel;

occasional nights and weekends to meet the needs of the University. Physical Demands:
must be able to remain in a stationary position; must be able to operate a computer and other productivity machinery; must routinely operate equipment used to provide recycling services; must routinely traverse campus by walking and on university-provided equipment; must routinely lift and transport objects and equipment up to 50 pounds; must routinely communicate with shift supervisors, teammates, and other individuals on campus; must understand direction and adhere to established procedures; must adapt well in the face of workplace stressors such as balancing priorities for the successful function of the department, maintaining the security of people and property, etc.;
