Wildlife Control Operator - Part-Time with Opportunity for Full-Time Discreet Pest and Wildlife Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced and motivated Wildlife Control Operator to join our team in a part-time capacity, with the potential to transition into a full-time position. This position is ideal for a licensed wildlife professional who takes pride in solving challenging wildlife problems, working independently, and providing professional service in residential, commercial, and institutional environments. For the right candidate, there is significant opportunity to expand the position into a full-time role. Position Responsibilities The Wildlife Control Operator will perform wildlife inspections, trapping, removal, exclusion, and related wildlife management services.

Responsibilities may include:

Conducting thorough wildlife inspections and identifying entry points, nesting/denning areas, and contributing conditions Setting, maintaining, and checking traps in accordance with Massachusetts regulations and company standards Humane removal and control of nuisance wildlife Wildlife exclusion, prevention, and minor repair work Bat inspections, exclusion, and remediation when properly trained and qualified Working from ladders, lifts, rooftops, and other elevated areas when properly trained and authorized Accurately documenting inspections, findings, services performed, and recommendations Communicating professionally with customers, facility personnel, and management Maintaining traps, equipment, vehicles, and assigned materials Following all applicable state and federal wildlife regulations and company safety procedures Required Qualifications Candidates must possess: Current Massachusetts Trapping License Current Massachusetts PAC License Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Ability to safely perform physically demanding work, including climbing ladders, accessing attics and crawlspaces, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in the field Strong communication, documentation, and customer-service skills Dependability and willingness to respond to a variety of wildlife situations and service environments Preferred Qualifications Preference will be given to candidates possessing one or more of the following: Massachusetts Coyote Endorsement OSHA-compliant MEWP training and experience Professional bat inspection, exclusion, and remediation experience Applicable National Wildlife Control Operators Association (NWCOA) certifications Additional wildlife management, exclusion, construction, or building-envelope experience Pest Control Experience - Accelerated Full-Time Opportunity Candidates who are also properly licensed and experienced in professional pest control will receive additional consideration. An individual with strong wildlife credentials combined with applicable pest control licensing and field experience may be eligible for a faster transition into a full-time position. We are particularly interested in candidates capable of handling both wildlife and pest management responsibilities, including inspections, identification, treatment recommendations, documentation, and professional customer communication. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who approaches wildlife control as a skilled profession rather than a paycheck. The successful candidate should be able to evaluate structures, identify why wildlife activity is occurring, determine appropriate corrective measures, and communicate those findings clearly to customers. Attention to detail, professionalism, safety, regulatory compliance, and quality workmanship are essential. $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
