Project Architect, Commercial Office Buildings Location:

Full-Time Compensation:

$70-100k + Bonus About the Role We're seeking a Project Architect to join our commercial studio in Boca Raton. You'll take ownership of office building projects, from early design through construction administration, working with principals, consultants, and clients to deliver well-coordinated, buildable work. This is a strong fit for an architect who is working toward licensure, wants real project responsibility, and is ready to move toward the next level of leadership. Key Responsibilities Project Leadership Lead the architectural design and documentation of commercial office projects, including new construction, core and shell, tenant improvements, and renovations Manage day-to-day project workflow, schedules, and deliverables, and keep principals informed of progress and risks Coordinate with structural, MEP, civil, landscape, and other consultants to resolve conflicts early Direct and mentor junior staff and interns, delegating tasks and reviewing their work Design and Documentation (AutoCAD) Prepare and oversee plans, elevations, sections, details, and schedules in AutoCAD Develop construction documents that meet the Florida Building Code, ADA, fire/life safety, and local jurisdiction requirements Produce wall sections, stair and egress studies, curtain wall and storefront details, and roofing and waterproofing details Maintain drawing standards and run thorough quality control checks before each submission Client and Team Coordination Take part in client meetings and design reviews, and present design solutions clearly Respond to RFIs, review submittals and shop drawings, and prepare addenda and bulletins Coordinate with contractors, owners, and building officials through permitting and construction Construction Administration Conduct site visits, field observations, and punch lists Track project changes, review pay applications, and support project close-out Document field conditions and resolve issues quickly to keep projects on schedule Professional Development Receive support toward licensure, including mentorship and flexibility for exam preparation Gain exposure to project management, fee tracking, and business development Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program 5-10 years of architectural experience, with a focus on commercial projects, ideally office buildings Currently working toward architectural licensure (ARE progress, AXP completed or nearly complete) Strong proficiency in AutoCAD ; knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus Working knowledge of the Florida Building Code, ADA standards, and commercial construction methods Strong coordination, communication, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Compensation and Benefits 70-100k Full health, 401(k), PTO, licensure support, and other benefits]

Pay:

$70,573.10 - $100,077.28 per year
