This full‑time role offers the opportunity to lead and contribute to a diverse portfolio of aviation, institutional, commercial, municipal, and multi-family residential projects. Our work tackles challenging design problems and delivers innovative solutions that enhance communities and critical infrastructure. This position is ideal for a motivated architect who combines strong technical expertise with client‑focused leadership and an interest in business development and practice growth. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate all phases of architectural projects, from concept through construction Drive project development, including scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, and consultant coordination Lead and participate in client, stakeholder, and agency meetings, particularly for aviation and public-sector projects Prepare and guide conceptual, schematic, and design development solutions, including renovations and restoration efforts Support and oversee design and production teams, including mentoring junior staff and intern architects Perform construction administration services, including shop drawing review, RFIs, site visits, and punch lists Execute final preparation and quality control of all design documents (drawings, reports, and specifications) Apply deep knowledge of building codes, aviation regulations, and restoration standards to ensure compliance Contribute to business development efforts, such as proposal development, qualifications packages, interviews, and client relationship building Collaborate with leadership to identify new opportunities within aviation and municipal markets Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture (Master's preferred) Minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience with an A/E consulting or construction-related firm Licensed Architect (RA) Demonstrated experience leading the planning, design, and delivery of municipal architectural projects through all project phases. Experience with aviation and other government-sector projects is preferred. Strong planning and organizational skills with proven success managing multiple projects simultaneously Extensive knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and construction administration practices Excellent communication skills, including technical writing, public speaking, and client presentations Interest and experience in mentoring and developing junior staff High attention to detail with experience in quality control and assurance oversight Collaborative team player who positively contributes to office culture and firm growth Interest in business development, client engagement, and long‑term relationship building
