Senior Project Architect Strang, Inc - 3.7 Madison, WI Job Details Full-time 23 hours ago Qualifications CAD software Bluebeam Revu Revit Building information modeling (BIM) tools Technical Proficiency Full Job Description As a Senior Project Architect you will work closely with Strang's integrated team of design professionals to deliver architectural services for a variety of exciting project types. Working under the direction of a Project Manager and Principal-In-Charge, you will be responsible for leading teams in the design and execution of assigned projects from conception to completion adhering to all technical and standard procedures of the office. Your expertise and vision will be instrumental in developing and implementing project plans, ensuring that all deadlines are met, and that design goals are achieved. This position is located at Strang's Madison office in Wisconsin.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
Programming in the pre-design phase Involved in schematic design, creating layouts, material, systems, and product selections Coordinate with other disciplines during the design development phase Work in Revit to coordinate and create construction drawings Create markups in Bluebeam and provide additional details or sketches in Bluebeam or by hand Coordination with specification writer on products, manufacturers, and installation requirements Review and respond to bidder questions in the bid period and create addendums Actively involved in construction administration phase, reviewing and responding to RFI's, shop drawings, product substitutions, creates supplemental instructions, participates in field visits, and project close-out Coordinate and collaborate with other disciplines and outside consultants Participate in client and design team meetings Coordinate and submit drawing packages for regulatory approval Regularly communicate project progress and status to all stakeholders Directs, delegates, and reviews production staff's work to meet Strang's QA/QC process Mentor junior architectural staff and provide guidance on design and technical issues Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, prioritize tasks, and is a great communicator Ability to lead small projects with minimal Project Manager or Principal oversight What you bring to the team: Professional attitude, ownership and passion for your work. Professional Degree in Architecture Professional Registration (AIA, NCARB) or NCARB certifiable 15+ years of experience in the architectural industry, with at least 10 years of recent Project Architect experience leading multi-disciplinary teams, preferably in the design of one or more the following building typologies: science and technology, healthcare, corporate office, industrial, religious, and higher education. Effectiveness in working in a multi-disciplinary team setting, collaborating, and mentoring. A thorough knowledge of building codes and regulatory standards. Proficiency with Revit and Bluebeam software required. Experience with Enscape and AutoCAD software preferred.
