We're looking for a Project Architect based in Milwaukee or Madison, WI for our Higher Education projects. Our ideal Project Architect is passionate about solving complex challenges of higher education projects with experience developing and detailing intricate projects. As a Project Architect, you have knowledge of a variety of building typologies, construction techniques, sustainability methods, and building technologies. As a key team member, you will contribute to our robust national portfolio, and directly impact our ability to achieve continued market growth. This is more than just a job. What You'll Do:
Assist in leading the planning and design phases of significant higher education, sports, recreation, and wellness projects, generating, and translating design concepts into final architectural solutions Support Project Manager in project management tasks, focusing on schedule, staffing, and budget Coordinate the project's design intent with technical project requirements Direct and manage the internal and external design team from initial planning through construction administration Represent the team with multiple education, sports, and culture clients, industry partners, contractors, consultants, and public authorities Contribute to our robust local and national portfolio
What You'll Bring:
7+ years of experience as an architectural professional with experience in public and private higher education clients and projects Professional degree in Architecture and Architectural registration 4+ years of Revit production experience, proficiency utilizing Revit and automation technologies Experience in the selection of building materials and systems Successful team-orientation and collaboration behaviors Strong communication skills, spoken, written, and graphic Focus on collaboration and cooperation with others, demonstrating project and technical leadership High attention to client needs Ability to work effectively under pressure and within restrictive time deadlines and budget parameters while maintaining focus and positive attitude Why Kahler Slater?
