Overview Join our construction team as a Carpenter Foreman. This role is vital in ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Duties Supervise and manage carpentry crews on active construction sites, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications. Read and interpret construction schematics, and technical drawings to guide team activities and ensure accuracy in execution. Coordinate construction schedules with project managers. Review construction drawings and schematics regularly to verify adherence to design intent and quality standards. Manage daily site operations including material deliveries, equipment usage, and workforce allocation while maintaining strict safety protocols aligned with OSHA and federal safety regulations. Oversee quality control measures, conduct inspections, and implement corrective actions to meet project specifications. Communicate effectively with management, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure smooth project progression and resolve issues promptly. Skills 10 YEARS MINIMUM experience in heavy commercial or industrial construction environments with a strong background in carpentry supervision.
Requirements:
Must reside in Alaska. Must be able to obtain and maintain access authorization to U.S. military installations (JBER) and other secured federal facilities as required for assigned projects. Skilled in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and technical specifications. Knowledge of construction safety regulations including OSHA standards and federal safety protocols. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in budgeting, scheduling, and quality control. Strong leadership skills with proven experience managing teams in a fast-paced construction setting. Excellent communication skills for effective management of crew members and coordination with project stakeholders.
