In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality carpentry work across a variety of projects, including residential renovations, remodeling, and restoration efforts. Your expertise will help bring construction plans to life, ensuring precision, safety, and durability in every task. Duties Interpret and follow detailed construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute carpentry tasks. Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood and other building materials using hand tools and power tools for woodworking. Perform framing, trim carpentry, door hanging, cabinet installation, siding, and flooring installation with precision. Operate woodworking machines safely to produce high-quality components for various projects. Execute restoration tasks such as water damage remediation, stucco application, rebar installation, masonry work, and plastering to restore structures effectively. Assist with construction estimating by assessing materials needed for projects and ensuring proper resource allocation. Conduct heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks such as concrete forming, roofing, rebar placement, and material handling on construction sites. Install fixtures and perform finishing work including caulking, tile laying, molding remediation, and water damage restoration. Follow safety protocols related to power tool safety and general construction site safety standards at all times. Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Experience Proven experience as a journeyman carpenter or in a similar construction role with a strong background in residential carpentry. Extensive knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and working with construction plans. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools for woodworking, woodworking machines, and heavy lifting equipment. Demonstrated ability to perform framing carpentry, trim carpentry, fixture installation, siding work, flooring installation, tile laying, and masonry tasks. Familiarity with various construction materials including wood construction materials and rebar for concrete forming. Experience in restoration industry projects such as water damage restoration or mold remediation is a plus. Knowledge of roofing techniques and siding installation methods is desirable. Strong understanding of power tool safety practices combined with the ability to operate power tools confidently. Ability to read construction plans accurately while interpreting technical drawings for precise execution of tasks.
