Job Description:
Job Summary:
Ensure safe shipment of all aircraft landing gear components by building custom crates to be shipped across the country and overseas. Perform general preventative building maintenance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Build shipping crates according to product specification Utilize common manual and power tools Measure and cut wood, foam and harnesses Operate a forklift Scrap unusable inventory Perform some preventative building maintenance that does not require a licensed professional Manages small projects without supervision Effectively communicate with coworkers and vendors Perform additional duties as directed by the Supervisor
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or an Equivalent Forklift certified Successfully completed 90 days with proven ability to use any job-related tools properly and safely, follow instruction, and work independently Proficient in the English language Occasional overtime
Abilities and Skills:
Able to demonstrate carpentry skills Able to perform basic building maintenance Must exhibit a high level of confidentiality with work product Excellent organizational skills Attention to detail and accuracy Physical requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
