Table Mountain Rancheria has an immediate opening for a full-time Carpenter to work in the Public Works Department of Table Mountain Rancheria. Final candidate offered the position will need to pass an extensive background check. The person fulfilling this position must be capable of performing the following, but not limited to : Marks cutting and assembly lines on materials and cuts shaped materials and fastens them together with nails, dowel pins, or glue Shapes materials to prescribed measurements Verifies trueness of structures and lays sub flooring Lays out and installs partitions and cabinet work Applies shock-absorbing, sound-deadening, and decorative paneling to ceilings and walls Fits and installs prefabricated window frames, doors, doorframes, weather stripping, interior and exterior trim, and finished hardware, such as locks, letter drops, and kick plates Constructs forms and chutes for pouring concrete Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level Qualifications/Requirements Associates Degree from a two year college or technical school preferred unless otherwise waived by Tribal Council as based on determined experience and accomplishments. Three (3) years of Carpentry experience as well as other relevant education, trade school, or work experience. Applicant must possess knowledge of construction procedures, project forecasting and also be familiar with equipment related to the position. Applicant must also possess California Class C Driver's license and must have a clean driving record that is acceptable to Table Mountain Rancheria's insurer.
