We need someone who has seen it all in residential remodeling and knows how to handle what comes up. Core Requirements The following are non-negotiable for this role: Expert-level rough framing — walls, headers, beams, structural modifications Expert-level finish carpentry — trim, doors, built-ins, cabinetry installation Ability to read and interpret residential blueprints and construction documents Strong understanding of California building codes as they apply to residential remodeling Valid CA driver's license and reliable transportation Own basic hand tools; company provides power tools and specialty equipment Own truck Bonus Skills (Preferred but Not Required) The following skills will set you apart and create more opportunity in this role: Rough electrical — outlet relocation, panel work support, can coordinate with licensed electrician Rough plumbing — fixture rough-ins, drain and supply relocation Tile setting — floor and wall tile, backsplash Drywall — hang, tape, texture Experience working with or coordinating subcontractors on active job sites Day-to-Day Responsibilities Lead all framing and finish carpentry scopes from start to completion Maintain job site cleanliness, safety, and professionalism at all times Communicate job site status, material needs, and schedule updates to the owner Coordinate timing with subcontractors (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.) Identify potential issues early and surface them before they become problems Represent Landrith & Company professionally with homeowners and subs Support estimating with field knowledge when asked What We're Not Looking For We are not looking for someone who needs constant direction, cuts corners on quality, or treats the homeowner's house as just another job site. If you show up, do quality work, and communicate clearly — this is a great fit.
