Our team is built on collaboration, innovation, and a commitment to excellence. We are seeking a professional commercial construction superintendent who can help us achieve our goals. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Non-Union Journeyman Metal Stud Carpenter to perform metal framing, drywall installation, repairs, and remodeling work across our multifamily residential and light commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of professional experience and be capable of independently performing layout, metal stud framing, hanging drywall, reading plans, and completing assigned work with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities Perform metal stud framing, layout, installation, repairs, and remodeling across multifamily residential and light commercial properties. Layout and frame walls, partitions, soffits, ceilings, door openings, headers, backing, and other structures using light-gauge metal studs and track. Measure, cut, assemble, and install metal framing accurately according to plans and field conditions. Hang and install drywall on walls, ceilings, partitions, and other framed assemblies. Install backing, blocking, bracing, and other framing components as required. Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, specifications, and layout drawings. Independently evaluate assigned work and determine appropriate materials, layout, and installation methods. Perform framing and drywall work associated with apartment renovations, unit turnovers, tenant improvements, and property improvement projects. Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other trades as needed. Identify required materials and communicate material and equipment needs to management. Ensure completed work is level, plumb, properly aligned, and meets company quality and safety standards. Maintain clean and safe work areas and properly care for company-provided tools and equipment. Qualifications/Requirements Minimum 5+ years of professional metal stud framing/carpentry experience, preferably in multifamily, commercial, tenant improvement, or renovation work. Must live within approximately a 45-minute drive of our Northeast San Fernando Valley office and reliably commute to assigned properties. Journey-level ability to independently perform layout, metal framing, drywall installation, repairs, and modifications with minimal supervision. Strong hands-on experience with light-gauge metal stud and track framing. Experience hanging and installing drywall. Ability to accurately measure, layout, cut, fasten, level, square, and plumb framing systems. Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications. Knowledge of proper framing practices, building requirements, and jobsite safety. Relevant construction licenses, OSHA training, or certifications are considered a plus. Experience installing suspended/acoustical ceiling systems (T-bar/drop ceilings) is a plus. Experience with drywall finishing, taping, patching, or related work is a plus. Experience working in occupied multifamily properties and renovation projects is a plus. Must provide own standard hand tools; company will provide larger or specialized equipment as required. Ability to safely perform physically demanding construction work, including lifting materials, climbing ladders, and working overhead. Must be reliable, organized, able to work independently, and consistently produce professional-quality work.
Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
