Job Description As a Project I (Carpenter), you will perform maintenance and renovation projects that support the appearance and functionality of the resort. This role requires experience with general building maintenance and a solid foundation in carpentry, including the ability to safely use woodworking tools and complete finish work with minimal supervision. In this role, you demonstrate Westgate's core values of Passion, Integrity, and Work Ethic in every interaction. What You'll Do as a Project I (Carpenter):
  • Complete engineering projects, preventative maintenance, guest service requests, and resort improvement tasks.
  • Perform carpentry work including framing, trim, cabinetry repairs, door and hardware installation, finish work, and other wood-related repairs.
  • Safely operate woodworking equipment, hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment to complete assigned projects.
  • Perform drywall, painting, flooring, tile, caulking, and general building repairs.
  • Assist with plumbing, electrical, and appliance repairs as needed.
  • Complete work orders using maintenance management software (HotSOS and other applicable systems).
  • Assist with inventory, materials, and tool organization to ensure project readiness.
  • Identify and report safety hazards while following all company safety procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with guests, team members, and leadership to resolve maintenance concerns.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
