Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Carpenter, Pipe Foreman, or Assistant Utility Superintendent who resides in the Sarasota area to join our dynamic construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and manage complex pipeline and utility projects, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency at every stage. As a key member of our team, you will oversee daily operations on construction sites, coordinate with project managers, and supervise crews to deliver exceptional results. Your expertise in construction management, safety regulations, and technical skills will drive project success from start to finish. This position is ideal for someone passionate about heavy civil construction and eager to contribute to impactful infrastructure projects. Carpenter Measure, cut, and assemble materials using hand and power tools. Follow layouts and measurements to complete quality construction work safely and accurately. Pipe Foreman Lead and coordinate field crews on heavy highway and infrastructure projects. Oversee safety, scheduling, workforce planning, quality, and daily production. Assistant Utility Superintendent Support daily operations on heavy civil highway and bridge projects. Assist with crew and subcontractor supervision, safety, quality, scheduling, documentation, and field coordination. Duties Lead and supervise construction crews in pipeline installation, utility work, and related tasks, ensuring adherence to safety standards and project specifications Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans to guide daily operations Coordinate project schedules using construction management software such as Primavera P6 or Procore to ensure timely completion of milestones Manage subcontractors and vendors while maintaining strong communication to keep projects on track and within budget Conduct quality control inspections, oversee safety compliance per OSHA and federal regulations, and implement safety protocols across all job sites Review contracts, change orders, and project documentation using systems like Prolog or HeavyBid for accurate record-keeping and billing Oversee site logistics, manage materials procurement, and ensure proper use of tools including ohmmeters for electrical testing when necessary Requirements Proven experience in heavy civil construction with a focus on pipelines or utility projects; commercial construction experience preferred Strong knowledge of construction management software such as Procore, Primavera (including Primavera P6), Bluebeam, and Primavera P6 for scheduling and documentation Familiarity with managing teams in a construction management role with supervisory experience in supervising crews on-site Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately for installation procedures Knowledge of OSHA standards, federal construction safety regulations, and best practices for construction safety management Skilled in managing project schedules, budgeting, quality control processes, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations Excellent managerial communication skills to coordinate teams effectively across multiple projects Valid experience with construction drawing review, contract management systems like Prolog, and managing project documentation efficiently Ability to operate testing tools such as ohmmeters for electrical work when required This role is perfect for a dedicated professional who thrives in fast-paced environments where safety meets precision.
