Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Wood/Metal Framer Carpenter to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures made from wood and metal, ensuring they meet precise specifications and safety standards. You will many will be constructing portable sheds but the job you will also include commercial buildings, remodels, and metal building erection from time to time. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilizing your technical skills and craftsmanship to bring architectural visions to life. Duties Interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately measure and cut materials for framing and structural components Erect metal buildings by installing steel studs, framing systems, rebar, and related structural elements with precision Construct wood frameworks for walls, floors, ceilings, and trim carpentry projects using hand tools and power tools Install drywall, stucco, siding, plastering materials, and perform finishing work to achieve smooth surfaces Operate machinery such as forklifts Read and interpret construction plans accurately while managing dimensional measurements with tape measures and other tools Requirements Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on framing—wood and metal—preferably in commercial or residential settings Proficiency with hand tools (hammers, saws), power tools (drills, saws), and measuring devices such as tape measures Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper ergonomics during physically demanding tasks Skilled in metal building erection, siding, roofing or remodeling is highly desirable Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for accurate framing and material estimation Experience working with construction plans including dimensional measurements and technical specifications Knowledge of safety protocols related to working at heights, operating machinery, welding or cutting metals when applicable Strong communication skills for collaborating effectively with team members and interpreting technical instructions
Pay:
$14.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 55.0 per week
