In this vital support role, you will assist experienced carpenters in executing a variety of residential and commercial projects. Your enthusiasm and willingness to learn will help ensure the successful completion of projects ranging from framing and drywall installation to finishing touches like trim and fixture installation. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in carpentry and construction while contributing to high-quality building projects. Responsibilities Assist carpenters with measuring, cutting, and assembling wood and other construction materials using hand tools and power tools for woodworking. Support the installation of framing, siding, drywall, flooring, tile, and cabinetry on residential or commercial sites. Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution. Prepare work areas by cleaning, organizing tools, and setting up scaffolding or ladders safely for various tasks. Help with heavy lifting, material handling, rebar installation, plastering, stucco application, and water damage restoration tasks as needed. Follow safety protocols for power tool safety, hand tools use, and general construction site safety procedures. Assist in the installation of fixtures such as doors, windows, cabinets, mold remediation components, and other finishing elements. Requirements Prior experience in construction or carpentry is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools for woodworking, woodworking machines, and masonry is advantageous. Ability to interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights or on uneven surfaces safely. Knowledge of construction estimating processes and experience with residential carpentry projects are a plus. Understanding of construction site safety practices including power tool safety is required. Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards learning new skills on the job.
