We are looking for someone who can do the work AND oversee the work. This is a hands-on position for an experienced carpenter/construction professional who can complete projects independently while also supervising helpers, coordinating subcontractors and managing smaller construction and renovation projects from start to finish. This is not a desk-only construction management position. You will be expected to work in the field and lead by example. Duties Perform hands-on carpentry and general construction Framing and finish carpentry Drywall installation and repairs Doors, trim, baseboards and molding Cabinet and hardware installation Light demolition Commercial and residential renovations General building repairs and punch-list work Read plans, scopes of work and measurements Determine materials needed for projects Coordinate material purchases and deliveries Supervise helpers and subcontractors Coordinate plumbing, HVAC, electrical and other trades Communicate with customers and company management Keep projects moving on schedule Monitor workmanship and quality Maintain clean and safe jobsites Document additional work and potential change orders Help control labor and material costs Skills Have several years of hands-on carpentry/construction experience Be capable of running a project without constant supervision Have experience supervising workers or subcontractors Understand how different construction trades work together Be able to troubleshoot problems in the field Take pride in quality workmanship Be dependable and organized Communicate professionally with customers Be comfortable taking responsibility for a job from start to finish Have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Qualified candidates who can independently perform the work and successfully manage projects will be considered at the higher end of the pay range.
