Jobs › Adams, MA › Carpenter Geary Builders Carpenter Adams, MA Apply Position Summary The Carpenter is responsible for performing a wide range of carpentry and construction tasks while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and professionalism. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a crew. Key Responsibilities

• Perform rough and finish carpentry on commercial and residential construction projects.
• Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood and metal framing, drywall, doors, windows, trim, cabinetry, and other building materials.
• Install drywall, including hanging, taping, sanding, and preparing surfaces for painting.
• Complete finish work including trim, doors, hardware, and other architectural details.
• Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and project specifications (preferred).
• Ensure all work meets project specifications, quality standards, and applicable building codes.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
• Represent Geary Builders professionally when interacting with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, subcontractors, and clients.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following OSHA and company safety requirements.
• Accurately track time and complete any required daily documentation using company software or mobile applications. Required Qualifications
• 3-5+ years of commercial and/or residential carpentry experience. (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building practices.
• Ability to read blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications. (preferred)
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, and common construction equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and basic construction software for timekeeping, project communication, and daily reporting.
• Valid driver\'s license and reliable transportation to travel to multiple job sites.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more and work from ladders, scaffolding, and lifts.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and maintain a strong work ethic. Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with commercial construction.
• Experience with metal framing, acoustical/drop ceilings, and drywall finishing.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.
• Forklift, aerial lift, or scaffold certifications are a plus.
• Supervisor or crew leadership experience.
• Experience working in occupied commercial facilities such as healthcare, educational, municipal, or office environments.
