SUMMARY / GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF JOB
Under direction of the Electrical Supervisor, the Maintenance Carpenter is responsible for the daily operation and support of all buildings on Center to include carpentry, painting, masonry and sheet metal tasks to maintain, repair, and or replace structural and architectural components.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintenance, repairs and response to service calls Builds, repairs, and installs of counters, cabinets, floors, and doors. Installation of glass in windows, doors or partitions. Replacement of ceiling tile, floor tile and wall coverings. Ability to use equipment of the trade, including but not limited to saws, shaper and jointer. Ability to work from blueprints, drawings and or oral instruction to make repairs. Ordering correct materials for required jobs.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent 4-5 Year Apprentice Program or Equivalent Experience Experience as a journeyman carpenter
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of standard practices, methods, materials and tools of the carpentry trade Ability to work well with others Ability to work with little supervision Able to climb minimum 4ft ladders and scaffolds Experience in MAXIMO preferred We invest in the lives of our employees, both in and out of the workplace, by providing competitive pay and benefits packages.
