High-End Residential Construction Ferraro Custom Builders is seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter / Working Foreman to join our team. This is a hands-on leadership position for an experienced carpenter who takes pride in high-quality craftsmanship and is capable of managing the day-to-day activities of a residential construction project. The ideal candidate is someone who can build at a high level, lead by example, and keep a job organized and moving forward. Responsibilities Perform high-quality finish and rough carpentry work Serve as the lead carpenter and primary field leader on assigned projects Supervise and direct carpenters, laborers, and subcontractors Read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications Coordinate daily work activities and maintain jobsite productivity Communicate with the Project Manager and company management regarding job progress, materials, scheduling, and issues Coordinate subcontractors and ensure work is completed properly and on schedule Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite Verify quality and workmanship throughout the project Identify potential problems before they become costly issues Assist with material takeoffs, ordering, and material management Help establish and maintain project schedules Communicate professionally with homeowners and other project stakeholders Ensure company standards for craftsmanship, cleanliness, and professionalism are maintained Occasionally assist with estimating, planning, and other management responsibilities What We're Looking For 5+ years of residential carpentry experience Strong knowledge of residential remodeling and custom construction Excellent finish carpentry skills Ability to read and understand construction plans Experience leading a crew or supervising subcontractors Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to work independently and take ownership of a project Excellent attention to detail Good communication and organizational skills Professional appearance and attitude Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to work in occupied, high-end residential environments with respect for the homeowner and their property The Right Candidate We're looking for someone who doesn't need to be micromanaged . You should be comfortable looking at a project, understanding what needs to happen next, and making sure it gets done correctly. You should be equally comfortable setting a door, laying out a wall, installing trim, solving a framing problem, or directing a subcontractor. This is not a desk-only management position . The majority of the job is hands-on construction, with supervision and management responsibilities as needed. Compensation Competitive salary based on experience and skill level.

Pay:
$30.00 - $37.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
