Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Carpenter / Boat Builder, where your craftsmanship and attention to detail will bring boat building projects to life. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on custom boat construction and restoration, blending traditional carpentry skills with specialized composite boat-building techniques. You'll be part of a passionate crew dedicated to creating high-quality vessels that meet precise specifications and industry standards. We value safety, craftsmanship, and teamwork, providing an environment where your skills can truly shine. Duties Construct, assemble, and repair boats using a variety of hand tools and power tools. Perform carpentry tasks specific to boat structures and marine environments. Install fixtures such as doors, cabinets, hardware, and hatches with precision and care. Conduct surface finishing activities like sanding, grinding, painting, gelcoating. Assist in the fabrication of custom components using woodworking skills or composite techniques. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols. Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met while upholding quality standards in finishing projects. Experience Proven experience in construction, framing carpentry, trim carpentry, or related fields within the construction or composites industry. Skilled in the use of hand tools (saws, drills, chisels) and power tools (grinders, sanders) essential for precise craftsmanship. Familiarity with fiberglass, gelcoat finish work, painting, and non-skid. Experience working on construction sites or in industrial environments with heavy lifting requirements. Basic understanding of electrical systems and plumbing installations relevant to boat building or renovation projects. Restoration industry experience is highly valued; candidates should demonstrate adaptability across various project types including remodeling and custom fabrication projects. Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
