Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY
We're a locally owned construction company in need of reliable person who takes pride in their work and would like to grow with the company. Will work with the Project Manager to accomplish project work as assigned. Looking for someone that is dependable, is honest, is customer focused, has dependable transportation, have own tools. Performs tasks as needed to finish the daily assigned work load. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed Building framing, staircases, installing window, doors, siding, and interior trim work. Lay out floorings, walls, and roofs and ensuring they are leveled and compatible. Assists in all aspects of project delivery: Carpentry, demolition, cleanup, and misc. project tasks as required for job completion. Performs all work in safe and clean manner. Receives materials and supplies and places on job site in appropriate manner. Ensures safety of employees, visitors, and workers on the construction site. Maintains the confidentiality of information about the jobs and clients we serve. Behaves in accordance the quality and service standards of Gatz Construction. Assumes responsibility for performance of job duties in the safest possible manner, to assure personal safety and that of coworkers, and to report all preventable hazards and unsafe practices
Required Experience Project Management:
3 year (Preferred) Must be very knowable in the construction field Must have over 10 years of experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities. Proven experience as carpenter Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.) Ability to read technical documents and drawings Current drivers license. Working Conditions Work is performed in an environment that is exposed to noise or fumes that might require the use of protective equipment. Typical construction environments that can be exposed to the weather elements.
Schedule:
8 hour shift Monday to Friday Year round work
