We are hiring a hands-on Construction Foreman / Lead Carpenter to run daily field production and lead our crew. This is a build-and-lead role. You work alongside the crew, set the pace, and own the quality from first cut to final walkthrough. Shed experience is not required. Strong carpentry, leadership, and problem-solving are. What You Will Own Here is the simple version. The owner hands you a sold project and a customer commitment. You produce a quality finished project. You lead the crew, solve the normal field problems, hold the standards, and get the build done without the owner having to run it. This is not another carpenter seat, and it is not a desk job. You are the person the crew follows on-site. What You Will Do Build alongside a 2-to-3-person crew and lead by example (no slacking) Run daily field production: framing, siding, roofing, trim, doors, and finish carpentry Own workmanship, quality, and the final customer walkthrough Solve construction problems and figure out how custom or first-time work should be built Manage labor hours, tools, materials, and job-site readiness Coach and develop crew members and enforce basic work standards including cleanliness Communicate professionally with homeowners on-site Help develop and launch new shed styles, options, and construction methods What We Are Looking For Significant hands-on construction experience with strong framing and carpentry fundamentals Prior experience as a Lead Carpenter, Crew Leader, or Construction Foreman Ability to build productively while directing others Strong construction sequencing, mechanical aptitude, and field problem-solving Reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable holding a crew accountable Able to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly and work outdoors through the Michigan building season Proficient with hand and power tools, construction math, and reading a tape measure Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Strongly Preferred Residential framing, remodeling, deck construction, fence installation, exterior carpentry, roofing, siding, trim, pergolas, gazebos, or other outdoor structure experience. Trailer towing and crew training experience are a plus.
