Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Carpenter/Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be actively involved in a variety of carpentry and general labor tasks, contributing to residential and commercial projects. Your hands-on expertise will help ensure that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about construction, woodworking, and building craftsmanship to grow their skills and make a tangible impact on our projects. Responsibilities Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute carpentry tasks. Use hand tools and power tools for woodworking, framing, trim work, cabinet installation, door hanging, and fixture setup. Perform heavy lifting and material handling involving wood construction materials, siding, roofing components, and other building supplies. Install various elements such as doors, windows, cabinets, siding, stucco, drywall (including plastering), flooring, tile laying, and mold remediation. Operate woodworking machines safely to cut, shape, and assemble wood components according to specifications. Assist with rebar installation, framing carpentry, restoration projects, construction painting, and remodeling efforts. Follow all safety protocols related to power tool operation and construction site safety to maintain a secure work environment. Support the team with general labor duties including site cleanup, material staging, reinstallation of fixtures, caulking, and other finishing tasks. Collaborate effectively with team members to interpret technical drawings and ensure precise execution of all tasks. Experience Prior construction experience with a focus on residential carpentry or general contracting is highly preferred. Familiarity with construction estimating processes is a plus. Hands-on experience with woodworking tools and machinery such as saws, drills, sanders, and other power tools for woodworking projects. Knowledge of construction plans interpretation including blueprints and technical drawings. Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of safety standards related to power tools and heavy lifting. Exposure to restoration industry practices or mold remediation is advantageous but not required. Demonstrated ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards. Handyman experience or skills in assembly work can be beneficial for supporting diverse project needs. Pay:
$18.00 - $30.00 per hour
