Job Description As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing and installing wood and metal building components according to blueprints and project specifications. You'll perform a wide range of carpentry tasks, from framing and structural assemblies to finishing work on post-frame and agricultural buildings. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to read plans accurately, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship. What You'll Do Construct and install wood and metal building components Perform rough carpentry including wall framing, roof systems, floor systems, and truss installation Assist with post-frame and agricultural building construction from start to finish Install siding, soffit, fascia, trim, doors, and windows Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and project specifications Install sheathing, decking, blocking, and other building materials Build and dismantle concrete forms Safely operate hand tools, power tools, lifts, telehandlers, and construction equipment Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and crew members to keep projects on schedule Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites Travel to construction projects throughout Southern Minnesota and surrounding areas Follow all OSHA and company safety requirements What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of carpentry or construction experience Experience with rough and finish carpentry Ability to accurately read tape measures and construction plans Proficiency using common hand tools and power tools Strong understanding of construction methods and building practices Ability to work safely at heights and in varying weather conditions Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to lift 5075 pounds regularly Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Preferred Experience Post-frame building construction Agricultural building construction Installation of siding, soffit, fascia, doors, and windows Building and dismantling concrete forms Operating lifts, telehandlers, and other construction equipment Commercial construction experience Compensation & Benefits $22$32+/hour depending on experience Overtime opportunities available Stable full-time employment Year-round work opportunities Career advancement potential Exposure to a variety of construction projects Professional, team-oriented work environment Opportunity to expand skills in both rough and finish carpentry Work Environment This position is field-based and involves working on active construction sites throughout Southern Minnesota and surrounding communities. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rose Creek, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
