Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Carpenter to oversee and execute complex construction projects with precision and leadership. As a Lead Carpenter, you will be responsible for managing on-site operations, coordinating with teams, interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, and ensuring that all work meets safety standards and quality expectations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead diverse projects, from framing and drywall installation to metal building erection and restoration, while mentoring junior team members. Your expertise will drive project success and uphold our reputation for excellence in construction. Responsibilities Lead and supervise carpentry crews on various construction sites, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines. Interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute project specifications. Perform and oversee tasks such as framing, drywall installation, trim carpentry, roofing, siding, stucco application, masonry, and concrete finishing. Manage the installation of rebar, metal studs, and other structural components for metal building erection projects. Operate power tools, heavy equipment, and hand tools safely and effectively to complete construction tasks. Ensure compliance with safety protocols, building codes, and quality standards throughout all phases of construction. Coordinate with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure materials are available and work progresses smoothly. Conduct dimensional measurements accurately using tape measures and other tools; interpret schematics for precise implementation. Assist in the training of team members on proper techniques for welding, concrete forming, plastering, restoration work, and other specialized tasks. Qualifications Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in carpentry disciplines such as frame carpentry, trim carpentry, drywall installation, roofing, siding, masonry, or metal building erection. Demonstrated proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation (such as forklifts or cranes), and measuring devices like tape measures. Knowledge of rebar installation, concrete forming & finishing techniques, plastering methods, stucco application, and roofing systems. Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and translate them into physical structures on-site. Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy lifting, working at heights or confined spaces; committed to maintaining a safe work environment. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively while maintaining high standards of quality workmanship. Basic math skills necessary for dimensional measurements and calculations related to construction tasks. Construction site experience across various environments including remodeling projects or restoration work is highly desirable. Pay:
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
