Overview As a Concrete Form Carpenter, you'll build and prepare formwork that shapes concrete for construction and renovation projects. You'll read construction plans and technical drawings, interpret blueprint specifications, and work with a crew to complete each stage safely and accurately.

Sound forms and careful concrete placement help crews deliver durable structures and reliable project results. Duties Build, set, brace, and dismantle concrete forms; install rebar and prepare areas for concrete pouring. Operate concrete mixers and pumps, and use hand and power tools for forming, cutting, pouring, and finishing concrete. Read blueprints, construction plans, and technical drawings; apply construction estimating knowledge to materials and job tasks. Perform concrete finishing, caulking, plastering, stucco, masonry, and hardscape work as project needs require. Support trim carpentry, metal stud framing, and renovation tasks; follow construction workplace safety regulations and site protocols, including when lifting heavy materials. Qualifications Construction experience, carpentry skills, and experience working on construction projects or at construction sites. Ability to build formwork, install rebar, pour and finish concrete, and use concrete cutting tools and equipment. Mechanical knowledge and ability to read blueprints, interpret specifications, and understand construction plans and technical drawings. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, concrete mixers, and concrete pumping equipment. Ability to follow safety protocols and perform physical work, including heavy lifting; experience with hardscape, masonry, plastering, stucco, caulking, trim carpentry, or metal stud framing is helpful.

Pay:

$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
