Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee and execute complex carpentry projects, coordinate with team members, and ensure that all work meets the highest standards of quality and safety. Your expertise will drive the successful completion of diverse construction projects, from framing and drywall to metal building erection and restoration. Duties Lead and supervise carpentry crews on various construction sites, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines Interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans to guide project execution Perform a wide range of carpentry tasks including framing, trim carpentry, drywall installation, stucco application, siding, roofing, and masonry work Manage metal stud framing, concrete forming, rebar installation, concrete finishing, and plastering activities with precision Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and interpret measurements using tape measures and other tools for accurate dimensional work Coordinate with project managers to plan daily activities, allocate resources effectively, and ensure safety compliance on site Conduct quality inspections to verify work meets specifications and rectify issues promptly while maintaining a safe work environment Skills Extensive experience in construction site management with a strong background in carpentry disciplines such as frame carpentry, trim carpentry, drywall, roofing, siding, and masonry Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and interpreting construction plans accurately Skilled in metal building erection, steel framing (metal stud framing), concrete forming, rebar installation, and concrete finishing techniques Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently; experience with heavy equipment operation is a plus Strong knowledge of construction safety protocols and ability to enforce safety standards among team members Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt plans based on site conditions or unforeseen challenges Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for precise craftsmanship Join us as a Lead Carpenter if you are passionate about building excellence!
