Job Description

Preferred to be located within 20 mile radius of East Brunswick Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Lead Construction Worker to join our construction team. In this role, you will be an essential part of building, renovating, and restoring a variety of structures, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Your hands-on expertise will help bring and maintain a safe and productive work environment. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills across multiple facets of construction and contribute to impactful projects. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of construction sites. Perform carpentry duties including trim, fine carpentry, framing wood/metal, drywall, install cabinets, trim, siding, and light plumbing and electrical. Conduct renovation and restoration work by removing old materials and installing new finishes with attention to detail. Read blueprints and schematics accurately to guide construction activities and ensure compliance with design specifications. Handle heavy lifting safely while maintaining a focus on efficiency and quality in all tasks performed. Operate commercial vehicles for material transport when required in accordance with safety regulations. Maintain a clean and organized work site by managing hand tools, power tools, and debris effectively. Qualifications Proven experience working on construction sites with knowledge of various construction disciplines. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and safety. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy lifting, scaffolding setup, equipment operation, and site hazards. Experience with metal stud framing, flooring installation including tile laying, drywall finishing. Valid driver's license. Excellent physical stamina for heavy lifting and long hours on-site; ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors throughout project phases. Pay:
$40,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
