Job Description

Scenic shop seeks support for daily shop‑floor and production activities: Measure, cut, assemble and finish wood and other construction materials. Be able to provide accurate dimensions in correct format. Operate hand tools/power tools safely and efficiently. Operate shop equipment such as table saws, miter saws, drills, sanders and other woodworking machinery as qualified. Load/unload materials and finished parts. Assist in assembled part patching & sanding as needed. Make repairs and modifications to existing scenery and structures. Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment. Must be able to lift 75 lb unassisted. Perform other duties related to scenic construction and production as assigned.

Qualifications:

Previous carpentry, scenic construction, or related experience preferred. Proficiency with common hand and power tools. Basic knowledge of woodworking and construction techniques. Ability to lift and move materials and equipment safely. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet production deadlines. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. OSHA or other safety training is a plus.

Pay:

$20.00 - $35.00 per hour
