In this role, you will be responsible for constructing the structural framework of residential homes, ensuring precision and safety at every step. Your expertise will help bring architectural visions to life, contributing to high-quality, durable structures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential remodels to large commercial developments, utilizing your carpentry skills and construction knowledge to deliver exceptional results. Responsibilities Read and interpret detailed construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute framing projects. Erect wood frame homes from building on foundation, to building the whole frame of the home. Perform framing tasks using hand tools and power tools, including measuring, cutting, assembling, and securing wood or metal components. Not mandatory but preferred, knowledge in handing vinyl siding, hardie cement siding, and other types of siding. Manage heavy lifting tasks safely while maintaining proper use of lifting equipment and techniques. Collaborate with construction management teams to ensure projects stay on schedule and meet quality standards. Requirements Proven experience in framing carpentry with a strong background in construction site work. Proficiency in blueprint reading (preferred but not mandator) and interpreting technical drawings related to framing and metal building erection. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, tape measures, and other carpentry equipment. Knowledge of dimensional measurements, drywall installation, masonry work, welding, and remodeling processes. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while adhering to safety protocols. Basic math skills for precise measurements and calculations essential for framing accuracy.
