Job Description

We are currently looking for a Full Time Carpenter Aide to join our HIS Section Team B Unit 4 team located at the Housing Annex working 7:00AM-4:00PM

Summary:
Complete carpentry and related work assigned in a timely and workmanlike manner in order to preserve the Division's housing units in good condition and to maintain a safe and healthful living environment for the Division's tenants and home buyers.
Responsibilities:
  • Complete carpentry and related work assigned to them in a timely and workmanlike manner
  • Must be willing and able to learn new carpentry skills as they arise with the job
  • Assists/helps perform major and minor carpentry work including the following: hang doors; hang sheet rock; tape and bedding; trim work; install both prime and storm windows; framing; lay floor tile; install ceramic tile;
Roofing:
both patch and new; and cabinet work
  • Assist in all manners of electrical wiring; installing plugs, receptacles, lights and ceiling fans
  • Learn how to match all kinds of wall and ceiling texture
  • Assist in installing vinyl floor planks
  • Work with PEX plumbing fittings, help install tubs, shower floors, faucets, drains, and supply lines. Putting together toilets, setting to floor, level and secure
  • Help meet all team goals set by the Foreman
  • Maintain the highest quality of work
  • Learn and adhere to HUD accepted code and safety standards
  • Help to ensure tools and equipment operate safely and are stored appropriately
  • Help maintain a safe and organized work environment
  • Must learn and put into practice the ability of working around hazardous materials, taking all safety precautions and measures to protect citizens and crew members
  • Assist with move ins and move outs
  • Provides first class customer service to both internal and external customers and responds to inquiries, compliments, and/or complaints with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency
  • Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities
  • Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types
  • Maintains a clean, organized work area and ensures a safe environment
  • Maintains and promotes professionalism
  • Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics
  • Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards
  • Maintains knowledge of and follows all rules, regulations, policies and guidelines for assigned area
  • Performs all other duties as assigned
