Manufacturing Carpenter Job Description This role focuses on building high-quality custom retail display units and fixtures by interpreting technical drawings and using a wide range of woodworking tools and machinery. You will work closely with design and fabrication teams to construct, finish, and prepare custom displays while maintaining strict safety and quality standards in a busy manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and shop plans to build custom display units accurately. Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, acrylic, and other materials using hand tools and power tools. Construct and finish retail fixtures, including shelving, cabinets, kiosks, and branded display structures. Operate woodworking machinery such as table saws, routers, sanders, and CNC equipment safely and efficiently. Ensure all builds meet established quality standards and specifications. Collaborate with design and fabrication teams to troubleshoot issues and refine prototypes. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with OSHA and company safety protocols. Assist in packaging and preparing finished displays for shipment or installation. Use tape measures and other measuring tools to verify dimensions and ensure precise construction. Handle materials and components carefully to prevent damage and maintain a high level of craftsmanship. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based in a manufacturing environment where temperatures can be cold in the winter and hot in the summer. The role follows a first-shift schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., including two paid 15-minute breaks and one unpaid 30-minute lunch. You will work around woodworking machinery, hand tools, and power tools, and you are expected to follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate work attire suitable for a shop environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Palmyra, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
