Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Carpenter/Site Superintendent to lead and oversee residential construction projects from start to finish. This role combines hands-on carpentry expertise with strong management skills to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will excel in building structure knowledge, coordinating construction activities, supervising teams, interpreting technical drawings, and maintaining strict adherence to safety regulations. Responsibilities Lead and supervise construction crews, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality craftsmanship across all phases of the project. Interpret and review construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to ensure accurate implementation. Manage subcontractors, vendors, and team members to meet project milestones while adhering to safety standards and regulations including OSHA and federal safety protocols. Oversee daily site operations, enforce construction safety management practices, and ensure compliance with all construction regulations. Work cohesively with Project Manager Requirements Proven experience in heavy commercial construction with a strong background in carpentry and site supervision. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Strong understanding of construction scheduling practices and project management principles. Experience managing teams on large-scale projects with excellent leadership skills in supervising crews effectively. Familiarity with OSHA standards, federal safety regulations, and best practices for construction site safety management. Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for managing client expectations, team coordination, and contractual negotiations. Knowledge of budgeting processes related to construction projects along with experience managing contracts and project documentation.
