Job Summary:

The Carpenter is responsible for performing residential and commercial reconstruction work related to water, fire, mold, storm, and other property damage restoration projects. The ideal candidate has strong carpentry skills and working knowledge of plaster repair and finishing techniques. This position plays a key role in restoring properties to pre-loss condition while maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety, and customer service.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform rough and finish carpentry on restoration and reconstruction projects.
  • Install and repair framing, doors, windows, trim, cabinetry, baseboards, crown molding, and other building components.
  • Measure, cut, and install materials according to project specifications.
  • Complete demolition and removal of damaged building materials when necessary.
  • Read and interpret work orders, project scopes, and construction drawings.
  • Ensure work complies with applicable building codes and company standards.

Work alongside restoration technicians, painters, carpenters, and project managers to complete projects efficiently. Physical stamina to lift and move equipment over 50 pounds, perform demolition work, stand for long periods of time, and work in varying conditions (hot/cold environments, attics, crawlspaces). Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in good working condition.

Follow company safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and job site regulations.

Complete project documentation, work orders, and time records accurately.

Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors, and team members.

Qualifications & Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Previous experience in carpentry, plastering, drywall finishing, or restoration experience preferred.

Knowledge of residential and commercial construction practices.

Ability to read work orders, plans, and project specifications.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
