Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Framing Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing the structural framework of buildings, ensuring precision and quality in every project. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of residential, commercial, and industrial structures by interpreting blueprints, measuring accurately, and working efficiently with various materials. Duties Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine framing specifications and measurements. Construct wall frames, floor systems, roof trusses, and other structural components using hand tools and power tools. Erect metal building frameworks, including metal stud framing and steel structures, ensuring adherence to safety standards. Install rebar for concrete reinforcement and assist with concrete forming and finishing processes. Perform masonry tasks such as stucco application, drywall installation, and plastering as needed for project completion. Operate heavy equipment safely for tasks like lifting heavy materials or positioning large structural elements. Collaborate with construction management teams to ensure projects stay on schedule while maintaining high-quality standards. Qualifications Proven experience in framing carpentry, including frame carpentry, metal building erection, and remodeling projects. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, technical drawing interpretation, and dimensional measurements. Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., saws, hammers), power tools (e.g., drills, nail guns), tape measures, and basic math skills for precise measurements. Experience with construction site safety protocols and heavy equipment operation. Familiarity with masonry techniques such as rebar installation, concrete forming, drywall installation, siding, and stucco work. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work effectively at heights or in confined spaces. Knowledge of construction plans related to metal stud framing, drywall finishing, trim carpentry, and remodeling projects is highly desirable.
