We are seeking a motivated and dependable Carpenter's Helper who is eager to learn the restoration and construction trades. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in residential and commercial restoration, remodeling, and general contracting. The Carpenter's Helper will assist skilled carpenters and restoration technicians with a variety of construction, repair, and restoration projects while developing valuable hands-on skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with restoration, remodeling, and repair projects. Load, unload, and organize tools, equipment, and materials at job sites. Prepare work areas by setting up equipment, protecting surfaces, and maintaining a clean job site. Perform demolition and debris removal as directed. Measure, cut, and install materials under supervision. Assist with framing, drywall installation and repair, trim work, painting, flooring, and finish carpentry tasks. Help with water, fire, and storm damage restoration projects. Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition. Follow company safety policies and OSHA guidelines. Communicate professionally with team members, customers, and subcontractors. Perform other duties as assigned to support project completion.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous construction experience is helpful but not required . Strong desire to learn carpentry, restoration, and general construction skills. Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team. Reliable transportation and punctual attendance. Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is a plus. Ability to work in various weather conditions and job site environments. Background check is required
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces for extended periods. Ability to safely use hand and power tools. Ability to work in residential, commercial, and restoration environments that may involve dust, debris, moisture, and varying temperatures.
Pay:
From $16.00 per hour
