Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Carpenter Helper/Laborer and be a vital part of transforming residential and commercial spaces! This energetic role offers hands-on experience in carpentry, woodworking, and remodeling projects. You'll work alongside skilled carpenters to assist with various tasks, learn industry best practices, and contribute to high-quality craftsmanship. Whether you're just starting out or have some construction experience, this position provides a rewarding opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment. Duties Assist with framing, drywall installation, plastering, and caulking to support carpentry projects. Operate hand tools and power tools for woodworking, including saws, drills, and sanders. Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution. Handle heavy lifting of wood construction materials, siding, fixtures, and other building components safely and efficiently. Support cabinet installation, door hanging, trim carpentry, and fixture mounting on residential or commercial sites. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to power tool safety protocols. Assist with remodeling projects, mold remediation efforts, and restoration industry tasks as needed. Experience Previous construction site experience or hands-on work in carpentry or woodworking preferred. Knowledge of wood construction materials, metal stud framing, drywall finishing, and siding installation is desirable. Experience working with power tools for woodworking and woodworking machines enhances your candidacy. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during fixture installation or remodeling tasks. Prior handyman experience or involvement in the restoration industry demonstrates versatility in construction skills. Strong understanding of safety procedures related to power tools and construction site protocols.
