Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality carpentry work across a variety of projects, including residential, commercial, and restoration sites. Your expertise will help bring architectural visions to life, ensuring safety, precision, and durability in every build. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction tasks while honing your craft in a fast-paced environment that values craftsmanship and teamwork. Responsibilities Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute carpentry tasks. Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood and other building materials using hand tools and power tools for woodworking. Construct frameworks for walls, floors, roofs, and other structural components with precision and attention to detail. Install doors, windows, cabinetry, trim, siding, drywall, and fixtures according to specifications. Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks safely while adhering to power tool safety protocols. Assist with restoration projects including water damage remediation, stucco application, plastering, and rebar installation. Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of construction phases while maintaining quality standards. Skills Extensive experience with construction estimating and reading blueprints or technical drawings. Proficiency in using hand tools such as saws, hammers, chisels as well as power tools for woodworking and metal stud framing. Strong knowledge of wood construction materials including framing lumber, plywood, siding materials, and drywall. Ability to interpret schematics related to electrical wiring, plumbing layouts, HVAC systems, and roofing plans. Skilled in various carpentry disciplines such as residential carpentry, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, cabinetry installation and door hanging. Experience with concrete forming, masonry work, flooring installation (tile or hardwood), plastering and stucco application. Familiarity with safety standards including power tool safety procedures; ability to perform heavy lifting safely. Knowledge of restoration industry practices including mold remediation and water damage restoration techniques. Capable of working on construction sites with experience in scaffolding setup and working at heights; excellent problem-solving skills for on-site challenges. Pay:
$20.00 - $32.43 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
