Concrete Finisher Job Description The Form Carpenter builds and assembles wooden forms for concrete pours, ties rebar, and performs concrete finishing work on construction sites. This role focuses on creating accurate and durable framing for concrete structures, ensuring high-quality pours and smooth, finished surfaces. Responsibilities Build and assemble wooden forms to hold concrete in place during pours. Prepare framing layouts according to project specifications and drawings. Pour and mix concrete to the required consistency and specifications. Tie in rebar and work as a rodbuster to reinforce concrete structures. Secure rebar within forms to meet structural and safety requirements. Perform concrete finishing, including smoothing and leveling surfaces. Monitor concrete pours to ensure proper placement and consolidation. Inspect forms, rebar, and finished concrete for quality and accuracy. Maintain a clean and organized work area on the construction site. Follow all site safety procedures and use tools and equipment properly. Essential Skills Proven ability to build wooden forms for concrete placement. Hands-on experience pouring and mixing concrete. Ability to tie rebar accurately and efficiently. Skill in smoothing and finishing concrete surfaces. Knowledge of concrete construction and concrete pours. Experience with concrete form work and concrete finishing tasks. Understanding of basic construction practices and site safety. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in general construction environments. Background as a concrete finisher or form carpenter.
