The Project Supervisor will be the primary on-site representative responsible for execution, coordination with stakeholders, and continuous improvement of construction processes. Success in this role requires strong hands-on concrete experience plus familiarity with construction project controls, scheduling, cost management, quality assurance, and safety compliance. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate all on-site concrete construction activities, including formwork, reinforcement, placement, curing, and finishing to meet project specifications and quality standards. Ensure compliance with safety regulations (including OSHA) and company safety policies; conduct site safety briefings and inspections, and lead incident investigations as necessary. Oversee subcontractor performance, enforce contract requirements, manage scopes of work, and ensure timely mobilization and demobilization. Monitor and control project schedule using tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project; track critical path activities and report schedule impacts. Support budgeting and cost control activities by monitoring labor, materials, and equipment costs; identify and escalate cost variances and implement corrective actions. Implement quality assurance and quality control processes for concrete works; coordinate inspections, manage punch lists, and ensure compliance with specifications and drawings. Manage materials procurement, storage, testing, and inventory to ensure availability and conformance to project needs. Coordinate permits, inspections, and regulatory compliance including environmental controls and permit management.
Apply risk management best practices:
identify, document, and mitigate construction and site risks; maintain risk registers and contingency plans.
Facilitate change management processes:
review change requests, assess impacts on cost and schedule, and communicate approvals to relevant parties. Prepare and deliver regular progress reports and dashboards for project stakeholders using MS Excel, Power BI, SmartSheet or similar reporting tools. Use construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, JIRA) and BIM tools (Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD) as needed to coordinate design, shop drawings, clashes, and site execution. Implement earned value management principles where applicable to measure project performance and forecast outcomes. Manage resource allocation on site including labor, equipment, and materials to maintain productivity and meet milestones. Coordinate inspections and testing with QA/QC teams and third-party inspectors; document results and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Support procurement and supplier management activities, including materials submittals, delivery coordination, and claims resolution. Promote continuous improvement and Lean/Six Sigma practices on site to increase quality, efficiency and reduce rework. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience supervising concrete construction activities on commercial or infrastructure projects; strong practical knowledge of concrete methods, formwork, reinforcement, placement, curing and testing. Proven experience in site supervision, subcontractor management, permit coordination, and construction inspection. Working knowledge of scheduling tools (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and familiarity with earned value management and cost control practices. Experience with project controls including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and resource allocation. Familiarity with quality assurance/control systems and safety management practices, including OSHA compliance. Experience with construction software platforms such as Procore, Bluebeam, SmartSheet, or JIRA and proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI is a plus. Exposure to Building Information Modeling (BIM) workflows and software (Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD) is desirable. Experience managing procurement, materials management, and supplier/subcontractor coordination. Knowledge of environmental compliance requirements and permit management processes. Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills; ability to prepare clear written reports and deliver presentations to clients and project teams. Relevant technical qualification such as BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent trade qualification; professional certifications (PMP, CCM, OSHA 30, Six Sigma) are advantageous. Experience with enterprise systems (SAP or Oracle ERP) and reporting systems is a plus. Ability to work on-site in variable conditions, travel between project locations, and obtain site-specific safety clearances as required.
