Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Concrete Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping, smoothing, and finishing concrete surfaces to ensure they meet high-quality standards and project specifications. Your expertise will help bring architectural visions to life, creating durable and aesthetically pleasing structures. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about construction, with a focus on precision and craftsmanship. Whether working on commercial or residential projects, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional results on time and within scope. Duties Finish concrete surfaces by smoothing, leveling, and texturing using hand tools such as trowels, floats, and edgers. Install rebar reinforcement and set forms to shape concrete according to blueprints and schematics. Operate power tools including concrete mixers, pumps, and vibrating screeds to facilitate efficient pouring and finishing processes. Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to interpret project requirements accurately. Execute concrete forming, rebar installation, and placement for various structures like slabs, walls, curbs, and decorative hardscape features. Apply finishing techniques such as brooming, stamping, or sealing to achieve desired textures and appearances. Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely while adhering to safety protocols on construction sites. Collaborate with carpenters, masons, welders, and other trades to ensure seamless project execution. Conduct restoration or renovation work involving stucco, plastering, or trim carpentry as needed. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly throughout the project lifecycle. Qualifications Proven experience in concrete finishing or related construction roles with a solid understanding of concrete work processes. Mechanical knowledge of tools such as hand tools, power tools, concrete mixers, pumps, vibrators, and screeds. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Strong knowledge of rebar installation, form setting, concrete pouring techniques, and finishing methods. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation including forklifts or cranes is a plus. Knowledge of masonry work including tile laying, flooring installation, stucco application or roofing is advantageous. Excellent physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods during demanding projects. Construction site experience with safety-conscious practices in diverse environments such as commercial or renovation projects. Basic understanding of construction estimating processes is beneficial but not required.
