Overview Responsible for performing skilled concrete construction and general labor duties, including concrete placement and finishing, forming, reinforcing steel installation, site preparation, material handling, and related construction activities. Works as part of a construction crew to safely, efficiently, and accurately complete projects according to plans, specifications, and company standards. Duties Perform concrete finishing tasks including smoothing, leveling, and texturing to achieve specified surface quality. Operate concrete mixers, pumps, and power tools to facilitate efficient concrete pouring and placement. Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to follow project specifications accurately. Install rebar and metal mesh according to blueprint specifications to reinforce concrete structures. Construct formwork and form systems for concrete molds, ensuring proper alignment and stability before pouring. Execute concrete cutting, demolition, and repair work as needed during renovation or restoration projects. Follow all construction workplace safety regulations, including proper use of hand tools, heavy equipment operation, and adherence to safety protocols. Qualifications Mechanical knowledge of tools such as power saws, drills, trowels, and other hand tools used in concrete work. Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans with precision. Knowledge of construction estimating processes related to material quantities and project timelines is a plus. Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and safety procedures for working at heights or around heavy equipment. Construction workplace safety regulations knowledge to maintain a secure environment for yourself and teammates. Strong carpentry skills including formwork construction, drywall installation, flooring installation, tile laying, stucco application, roofing basics, and caulking are advantageous. Experience operating heavy machinery such as concrete pumps or mixers and commercial driving skills are beneficial.
