The ideal candidate will assist in various concrete-related tasks, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to project specifications. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse construction projects, including commercial, residential, and restoration sites, contributing to the successful completion of concrete structures and surfaces. Duties Assist in the preparation and placement of concrete using mixers, pumps, and other equipment. Perform finishing tasks such as smoothing, troweling, and sealing concrete surfaces to achieve desired textures and finishes. Install rebar, formwork, and metal studs according to blueprints and schematics. Operate power tools and hand tools safely for cutting, shaping, and installing materials. Read blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements and specifications. Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely on-site. Support masonry, stucco, plastering, tile laying, flooring installation, and caulking tasks as needed. Assist with demolition, renovation, or restoration work involving concrete structures. Operate heavy equipment such as concrete pumps or mixers when required. Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety standards. Experience Prior experience working on construction sites with concrete finishing or related trades preferred. Knowledge of mechanical systems, schematics, and blueprint reading is advantageous. Familiarity with rebar installation, formwork construction, and metal stud framing is a plus. Hands-on experience with power tools, hand tools, heavy equipment operation, and commercial driving is desirable. Experience in masonry, carpentry (including trim carpentry), roofing, or restoration projects will be considered an asset. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments for extended periods. This position requires a proactive approach to safety and quality standards. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining attention to detail throughout all phases of concrete finishing.
